i am 23 weeks today and i can feel mine at my belly button when im sitting and above my belly button while i am laying down. Some days its hard as a rock and WAYYY too high, but i think its because she stretching and my uterus is trying to accomodate her.

I wouldnt worry about the fundal height. If the doc is not concerned then things should be okay.

At 22wks mine is about 2 inches above my naval. Doc said it was normal for it to measure a bit large since this was my third baby. Unless your doc/midwife thinks there is a reason to be concerned, I would try not to worry too much.

Fundal height can vary from woman to woman and even pregnancy to pregnancy. It's not an exact science and not very accurate (although so far in my pregnancies it has been pretty accurate) I usually measure ahead. At my last appt I measured a week ahead of what my fundal height should have been and it's been measuring a little above my belly button since 20 weeks. Some can measure a couple of weeks smaller or bigger than how many weeks you are. Completely normal! With my first pregnancy, at 38 weeks, I measured 41 weeks and gave birth that day. I usually measure a week or two ahead at all times. My midwife said I grow babies quickly! lol But you are just fine. By this stage your uterus is right around your belly button, even though you may not be feeling movements that high yet (I still feel movements really low and that's it!) It has to do with the position of the baby as well.

Your fundal height is where your uterus sits in your belly. As your baby grows your uterus grows to pushing up into your chest. if you lay down you will be able to feel gently where the top is. your uterus is hard and the rest of your body is soft..
When i was 22 weeks my fundal height was 21 cm..
