contractions

I will be a first time mom and was wondering what do REAL contractions feel like?

After orgasms my uterus contracts (very tightly i might add). I'm told thats normal and slightly like braxon hicks.

With that said, what do REAL contractions feel like?

BH are usually just a tightening with little to no pain at all. Real contractions, depends on the woman, but for me, I felt a tightening with period-like cramps and extreme pressure in my bottom. Some women feel lots of back pain too. If it wasn't for the pressure I had, I wouldn't have known I was in labor last time because my contractions aren't typically painful until I am almost fully dilated. You will know. You will have to breathe through them, not be able to talk much when you get one, and lying down, taking a bath or warm shower, and drinking lots of water will not make them go away.

Well....from what i can remember from 11 years ago, it started off like AF cramps, which intesified and were frequent. The worse they got the quicker i got them. By the time i was at the hospital they were really bad...like 10x worse then AF cramps and every few minutes. They took my breath away and i was on the floor in pain.

All i can say is YOU WILL KNOW!!! There is no denying it...the hospital won't take you anyway until they are close and intense.
