Im 10 weeks.. my first scan is booked at 18 weeks... is this normal? Everyone seems to be getting scans and im just not..
Plus ima be pissed if they wont tell me the sex and make me wait for after 20 weeks..

I got my first done to determine how far along I was at 7 weeks 5 days.  I'm 10 weeks now.  U go on the 31st to get another for nuchal scan.  I would look into another dr if I was u.

I had a dating scan at 6 weeks and will be having my nuchal translucency scan done next week at 12+6. You should most definitely get a dating scan and if you want to, a nuchal scan, which measures the fluid behind the neck of the baby which determines whether they will have down syndrome or not. This scan generally has to be done before 13+6 as after this stage of gestation it's either not accurate and are unable to tell or they are unable to terminate (not entirely sure) I'm only getting the scan as it's a condition on my fiances behalf. Regardless, I will not be terminating. Congratulations and good luck.

I'm 9weeks and haven't seen a dr yet. I was 21weeks with my first when I first seen a dr and got a scan.

I'm getting a scan at 12 weeks which is when you should for down syndrome checking.. This my 3rd baby and with all I got my first scan at 12 weeks

Im not even being seen by a nurse til my 14th week and I don't think I will be getting a scan then but will be asking for one.  I don't think it is normal.

You should be having a dating scan , which can or should be done now , so then you know your exact dates .
