when baby drops

Can you actually "feel" baby drop if you are awake or is it just gradual? I know sometimes baby never drops. And also many people say they just woke up one day and he was lower and they could breath and there was more gap between breast and belly.... But can you actually feel when baby would drop? If so what would it feel like? Thanks. Desperate for the relief if he would. Hate the short breath and he beats me up so bad up high. I'm almost 36 wks. Oh and if baby does drop, does he move as much and rough after?

Justnotice my belly lower in mirror, and that sitting straight isn't comfortable anymore . Acid reflux still awful no matter if I lie or stand up. Back pain still here, and breathing didn't improve. Oh and yeah can feel painfull lightning pressure when I walk and when I have to pre (which happen at least every 2 hrs..) I still have 4 weeks to go

Yeah my baby dropped as well, but I didn't feel it. Just noticed my belly got lower. I have a lot of pain and pressure when she moves, especially when I have to pee. I also have crazy heart burn and lower back pain.

Don't get your hopes up like I did...I didn't actually feel the baby drop..I just noticed that my belly was lower...if anything the breathing is still hard to do which I was mad about because everyone said it would be easier...also baby movement is more painful now because her head is down there but I still feel the jabbing from her feet near my ribs...it might be better for you...but it wasn't for me
