Gender Prediction...can't figure out conception date. Plz help.

I was trying to figure out what the Chinese Lunar Calendar predicted for my child's gender but I can't seem to figure out when I conceived. I will be having an U/S next week but would like to be able to see for myself how accurate these things really are. Help me if you can. My LMP was 8/8/08. Tested 9/25/08 got a faint positive, retested 9/26/08 got a BFP. Had my first dr's appt 10/13 and according to u/s was 6 wks 6 days at that time. This is where I get confused. According to that u/s my EDD is June 2nd. Does this mean I conceived 8/26/08 or about two weeks later? I would really like to clarify this because it makes a huge difference on the gender prediction. If I conceived in August, it says boy vs if I conceived in Sept, it says girl. Does anyone know if the u/s dates pregnancy from conception or is it like an automatic +2 weeks assuming everyone ovulates mid cycle during a 28 day cycle? Ahhhh don't know if that made any sense but I hope you can help. :)

Thank you ladies. So I did the gender prediction on the chinese lunar calendar using September as the conception month and it says Girl! I guess zazou and I will be finding out around the same time if it was correct. Good luck Zazou! My next dr's appt is on the 13th and I'm so excited! I'll keep you all posted. I agree with the above comment. It really does depend on how long your cycle is. Based on the EDD being June 2nd, then you conceived around 2 weeks after 26/8/08 which means in September. Do several of those chinese gender predictors. I did several and the majority gave me a girl, we shall see next week. Post us on your calculations and if they're correct.

I'll see if I can make this a little more clear.  The date you get is usually from LMP and assumes a normal 28 day cycle.  When you have an ultra sound, they use the measurements to determine the due date based on the size of the fetus and sac.  So the pregnancy is dated from the date of your last period.  That gives you a 40 week pregnancy even though you weren't pregnant for the first two weeks until conception.  It sounds like you have VERY long cycles, which would explain why you had an LMP on 8-8 but that you probably conceived in early September.  Does that make ANY sense?  Hope it helps.
