i spotted alot to the point i thought it was over but it never turned into anything bright red just enough to scare the hell out of me!! i am currently 19 weeks pregnant

Not necessarily. There are many, many pregnant women who spot or even bleed that have healthy pregnancies. Tell her to see her doctor about it though.
