How are your babies' nurseries coming along?

Been working on mine forever, and I think I'm finally pretty much done. It's so cute, I love it...Painted a very light, almost seafoam green with white furniture, pink and silver accents, and a pastel baby animal theme so cute little stuffed animals here and there. I put a silver decal on the wall over her crib, the "Now I lay me down to sleep" prayer. I really didn't like dolls as a little girl, but I loved stuffed animals (and the real thing), so I love going in there and just looking around...it makes me so excited about her.

Of course, the rest of my house is a complete mess right now lol, but at least her room is pretty. How are you ladies coming along with your nurseries? Did you choose a theme, if so what is it and why did you choose that particular theme?

Sorry to hear what you are going through. I know it's hard living family. The space is always limited and well, there's not much you can do. Good thing you have the car seat (the most important) and clothes. Hope you feel better soon, and remember, you have a precious life inside you that needs for you to be happy!! Good luck.

Sorry to hear you guys split up but single motherhood isn't half bad, better than drama and conflict when you could just be happy at your little one. I'm sure you'll be ready by the time your baby gets here. Told my ex if we brought her home in a onesie and a blanket and all I had was a playpen for her to sleep in, she would be fine. I'm just the over-prepared type.

I overdid it...couldn't help it, everything was so cute. :D

I only bought like 6-7 newborn size outfits and some newborn onesies, not sure how big she'll be. I'm petite but her dad is not, he's around 6 feet tall and solid, so I bought mostly larger sizes. But yeah, I'm going to have fun dressing this kid lol.

Aww I bet. I think I was kinda like that when I was little too lol. Boys are just simple. It's hard to find little boys clothes sometimes. I always see cute little dresses. I end up shopping for my niece sometimes lol.

Oh, girls are way too expensive. My 6-year-old wants everything that glitters and all those tutu skirts and it all adds up. Worst of all, my 18-month-old is on the same path!!

Don't over do it, remember, they grow out of everything so quickly. I did that with my girls and they only got to wear some stuff once and other stuff, well they outgrew the other. For this baby, I have a lot of onsies and I think he's not going to get to use them all. I made sure to buy clothing  of 0-3 instead of newborn, but my mom keeps getting me all the newborn clothes.  I'm just gonna hope he doesn't outgrow his clothes to fast!!

I do that too, stare at all her little clothes. She has a million, but I've been thinking she might need some more so I'm going shopping today. Love all the baby girl outfits. :)

I told my ex that too, he helps sometimes but we're not together so he's not around daily so I can order him around (lol), that it seems like married women sometimes have to do a lot themselves too, that men in general can be very unhelpful. >:/

I vote we take away sex from every man who's shown himself to be unhelpful, that'll show them lol.

Oh girls, don't wish too hard for a husband!! Believe me, there are times when I wish I didn't have a husband... lol. My husband sometimes doesn't want to help out with anything. He can see me having a hard time with my girls and he just acts as if he can't see anything. He gets me mad sometimes >:(

My eyes were lit when I saw it all come together. I tend to keep visiting the closet seeing his little clothes. Reality sets in after its all accomplished. I too am a single mom and its a beautiful blessing to have a baby expected or unexpected :-)...man I wish I had a hubby I totally make him do all the work even tho I'm used to being independent

I think that's why it's already done, I loved seeing it all ready for her, makes the whole thing more real. She's my first baby and since I'm 34, I didn't think I'd have any kids the natural way (I thought I'd end up adopting) so still feeling a little surprised at my unexpected blessing. But I think it was good to get it done early...between my big belly and my swelling feet, things are getting harder. And I'm single, so it's not like I can lay on my couch and make my hubby do it all lol...I think I'd make a great little dictator so wish I could. ;)

I put the crib together at the beginning/middle of my second trimester. I was way too excited but I think it was a good idea since i'm extremely tired now. Sports and blues and tan for my baby boy. Can't wait til he's here. I still gotta wash his clothes. but everything is organized in size and cute little gym shoes I can't wait to see him wear. Ugh little guy get here already lol (I'd like him to bake tho). Praying I don't go into labor around 37 weeks that's when my baby shower is (only time I could have it). I did my other son's baby shower like that as well.

I haven't really done anything. Well actually I had got the crib all ready but my 1 1/2 year old decided to return to her crib so I had to take everything off. As for everything else, I have the crib in my room so I can't really decorate it. I have my glider and my changing table as well. My mom and I have been working on the baby bassinet, which is coming out beautiful. We bought everything during a trip down to Mexico and we have been working on it for a couple of weeks now. I have already organized all the clothes by size and have changed the linning to the baskets that go on the changing table. Other than having to wash everything and getting my daughter out of the crib, I think I'm all ready.
