Anyone in their 30s out there having baby #1?

I keep reading about all the 20-somethings and their baby or even 2nd or 3rd and just wondering if anyone waited until their 30s to start their family like my husband and I?

P.S. nothing at all against young moms! I just feel out numbered at times hahaha

I'm 33 and am almost 9 weeks with my first. We've been trying for 4 years! I like that I'm a little older. I'm hoping that a few extra years of life experience will help keep me calm as a mom. We'll see!

Hi bestc, the good news is you have a few months before baby arrives to get ready for the idea. Shock will pass, and then, it's not like you are going through it at 17, at least you are 30 and a lot more mature. I understand that an unplanned child is never the ideal, but for some reason it's here now. I wish you all 3 the very best :)

I'm 30 and having my first child unplanned and didn't even know until a missed period. Both my bf and I are still in the shocked stage of finding out. It's too early for us but it's happening for some reason. I'm 8 wks and scared as ****. So not ready for all this.

Amazing responses! I loved my young wild 20s! Had endless freedom and wonderful memories to last a lifetime!  Now with our careers and home all together we are ready to start our family! And frankly 30s are NOT old. I am very energetic and healthy and this is the perfect time for me and my husband :)
