Ectopic pregnancies

Hey ladies, have any of you experienced an ectopic pregnancy before? If so, what symptoms did you have? What led you/your doctor to think you may have it? Did you undergo any blood tests for this?

I'm 5 wks (need to go for a scan to confirm) but I'm worried that I my pregnancy may be ectopic? I feel this sensation in my lower right abdomen...it is not a sharp sensation, nor pain, it just feels like something is there? Please let it only be gas :O Hope someone has some advice to share.

I had an ectopic pregnancy. My doctor diagnosed it based on my HCG levels. I didn't have much pain in the beginning. At the end I would double over with pain every so often. It hurt a lot. But the doctor will tell you if they are worried about it after a blood test.

Sometimes the pain you feel is just cramping while you have more blood flow to the area. Don't you worry to much about it, if you start spotting go to your doctor. Congrats

Thank you for your feedback. Im just not sure what it is. Do you or anyone know if ectopic preg pain builds up or whether its a stabbing pain right from the start?
The discomfort im experiencing now also has the right side of my groin feeling like i pulled it but i didnt pull/injure anything tho.

I felt some one sided discomfort (more of a fullness. hard to describe really) with my first pregnancy and I feared it was ectopic however everything was totally normal and she is a healthy 2 year old.  My current pregnancy I felt the same one sided discomfort and I was in emerge for unrelated reasons and the ER doctor was able to see the sac in my uterus at 5 weeks so again not eptopic. Hope that eases your worries a little!   And congrats!
