Yeah, thanks a lot @2015Harmony I'm starting to get ready for anything... natural birth or c-section.. but you're right most important is a healthy baby no matter the way of birth... and I'll check out the stretching exercises you.mentioned ...
@Tajaleelee my doctor too said its nothing to worry about but you know, being a first time mum, little things worry you... has your little one turn yet? (Head down)
My sons umbilical cord has been up towards his neck just about my whole pregnancy. Dr been saying its fine. No need to worry. And to don't stress it. We catch it every ultrasound, lucky me I get one every time I go in. (I wonder if that's the reason) lol but no issue or issues since the first time catching it. I'm 32 weeks 3 days now.
I know it's scary but U still have time for him to turn, twist & all that good stuff. Just be glad they discovered this before delivery so they can do what they need to. On Pinterest there are articles/posts about how to turn a baby (but they are geared to a breech baby).. I have no idea if they work but maybe worth a try. It's some interesting ways to stretch. But if U end up w a csection don't be hard on yourself, the most important thing is having a healthy baby.
Oh thanks for the response ....Yeah my little man is still moving a lot ... also he hasn't turn yet... he's face up, that's why I'm so concerned ...Doctors said they'll keep checking him out... I really hope he does turn and twist himself out of the cord. Was hoping to try a vaginal birth... :(
It depends. You could end up with a csection it's good they are aware of it now. They will probably monitor you with a few more ultra sounds. The baby is still moving around through. With my 1st my son was in correct position then he decided to turn the opposite direction. Where he was face up instead of face down. Which resulted in extreme back labor which is terrible. I ended up having a csection but because our vitals dropped after 17 hrs of active labor (natural :-/). The doc said there would've been no way I could've had him vaginally because he was stuck in my pelvic bone. But each birth is different & Ur little 1 will hopefully twist out of the cord. It's amazing what these little babies can do.
Yeah Im interested to know the answer to your question too and I didnt want it getting lost wayyyy down at the bottom :)
