I have picked up my step son occasionally and my niece and they probably weigh 40-50 pounds. I stopped doing it, but I did in the beginning before I really thought about the fact I shouldn't be lifting that much! My baby is fine. Just listened to him or her last night on my Doppler!
I forgot to mention that I am 17 weeks!
Mu daughter weighs 40lbs. Once in a while i pick her up. Try not to but it is hard. Everything will be fine. No worries
You will be fine unless you have complications and your dr said not to lift. I lift 230 lb men at work (I'm a EMT) and my Dr doesn't see a problem with my lifting. I would rather not lift but until I get 7 monthsI have to :(
Thank you all for your comments!!!
I have to lift kids constantly since I am a mom of 3 and a daycare provider. My Dr. Said it's fine, and I am high risk.
I'm a registered nurse and we're constantly lifting and pulling patients up in bed and off the toilet. I'm only 15 weeks and no issues even being a high risk with uterine scar tissue. Just lift as little as possible and when lifting use proper technique so you don't strain
