do you like the name Olive?

Expecting a little girl, my boyfriend and I both love the name but everyone is being very critical of it. Just curious about your opinions of it.

Oliver is my son's name and if he was a girl it would have been Oliver. It's a beautiful and classic name. Don't listen to nay sayers... a lot of people pick out stupid names for their kids so I go with what I like and you should also :]

I like Olivia better but my daughter's middle name is Olivia so that may be my bias. Haha. As long as you like it that's what is important. Also, when you hold her the first time you may decide that name didn't suit her and you'll choose another. You'll know what's right for your baby.

Great comment ^^^ I'm not mentioning my names either to avoid that as well. If you love the name it's all that matters. I personally am not a fan of that name, but my opinion doesn't matter, anybody will love her regardless her name anyways. Congrats! Girls are so fun :)

Also the ones that don't like Olive call her Liv. And some of her cousins call her Oliie. Not sure how that one started!

My 2 1/2 year olds name is Olive! Olive Sue.  It fits her personality perfectly.  Smart Beautiful and a bit stubborn!   My grandparents still dont like it but we love it! Alot of strangers tell us they like it.    I say go for it. But i am a bit biased!
