how early is everyone setting up the crib?

I really want to nursery ready as I am in full nesting mode but my husband doesn't want to set up the crib as it is said to be "bad luck" ... but i want  it done soon.. what has everyone else been doing.. ohh and im a FTM.

I dont know the gender of my lil person yet so i am waiting till after my babyshower gender reveal to put up anything i have 3 more weeks to go and i will be 31 weeks...and then hopefully i will start nesting! :-)

My son will be moving from his current room to his new room as soon as we can get his new room painted and set up, probably sometime in the next few weeks. Then we'll be able to start getting his current room ready for baby - that will likely happen during the second week of May when I have a few days off and hubby and I plan to go to IKEA for the crib and whatever else we still need at that point.

I'm 29 weeks and I haven't set up a nursery yet. I feel like I'm going minimal with my second because with my first I wasn't sure what I needed and ended up with way too much furniture and things I didn't use.  I plan on cos keeping with the baby so no crib necessary. I also  plan on baby wearing. I will get a little cozy baby papasan  type chair, changing pad,  activity gym,and a small cosleeper. Otherwise all I need to set up is my diaper service. Which is easy . Wash all thr clothes blankets. And that's really the essentials as far as I'm concerned with for now.

I think your fine to set it up whenever your ready. As long as your past your first trimester. With babies 1 & 2, I had the whole room set up at 30 weeks. Now baby 3 I'm moving a little slower the baby will be in our room for about 3 months. But I'm 29 wks, and I want to start washing clothes.... It's too early for that though. But the go for it while you have an energy boost to do it. Plus it's a nice piece of mind knowing your that much closer

We will do the crib after the baby shower.  I plan to have the baby sleep in the best Basinet til she is 2-3 months and then move her to her room.

First time mom as well, we received all the baby room furniture when I was 26 weeks, my husband started putting some of it together and we finished it together by the time I was 27 weeks. I'm now 28 weeks and I'm happy it's done cause I can go in there and relax and dream about when the baby arrives.

We set everything up at 28 weeks will be 30 weeks on Monday.

I have his clothing and diaper station set up and will actually put his bassinet up this weekend.  I'm 31 weeks and want my cat and dog to see the changes before the baby is here. I also want to feel prepared because I know im getting more and more tired.

We had everything crib dressers room set up at week 20ish. I work full time and hubby and i found some  extra energy we had everything so we set it up. Thank good news to. We a twi year old and appoints and life time is flying by. And most of the time i am wiped out.

With my first we had practically everything set up by 28- 30 weeks. We are doing the same with this one:) our new crib comes next week!!:)

getting our nursery items delivered at 35 weeks (25 april) and we'll set up that weekend. but as long as our moses basket is standing by the arrival we should be ok (ftm)  :)

We not getting the crib till my baby shower on April 25th so I plan on putting it up the next day. I'll be 32 weeks then.
