Well if you find a birthing center it probably would. I truly feel like the us maternity care is *** backwards. No wonder we have such a high infant death rate. Let me know if you come up with something better
That ***** :( I'll look into the midwife can only do it if my insurance covers it tho and doubt it will
Well most insurances will not cover midwives with home births here in the us. So basically you have to pay a midwife out of pocket. Now when I went to a birthing center they took insurance. And the birthing center was a house that they made very home life so I felt so comfortable there. You would just have to google midwives in your area yoy should get a list of them. Good luck I really wanted one but I really can't afford to have one.
I would love to have my baby in the privacy if my own home! I have bad anxiety! How do u do that? Insurance doesn't cover it or what!?! U got me wanting to look into it now! Lol
A saline lock is like a start to an iv. But they dont put fluids through it. I do plan on staying at home for as long as I can. I just honestly have a mini anxiety attack everytime I have to walk into a hospital because of ny experience with my first child. So I am freaking out about being there. And with my son being born at a birthing center I went home 4 hours after he was born and felt amazing. My midwife told me yesterday that the earliest they will let me leave is 24 hours after the baby is born. And I honestly about freaked out when she said that. Ugh I am just a glass case of emotions.
I've never heard of a saline lock. What's that? I have had two marvelous deliveries in hospital, so it is possible to have a good experience. What I would recommend is staying home as long as you possibly can. They can't intervene if you're not there, right? Just as long as you have someone with you, and someone who can drive you to the hospital when it's time. My last delivery I only labored in hospital for about 45 minutes. That's not really enough time for them to mess with you.
Stay safe and have a blessed pregnancy and labor. God will work things out for you <3
There is not anymore birth centers in my area. And midwives who deliver at home can't accept insurance so you have to pay cash and the cheapest I found was charging $4000. The only other option I may have is if we move to California like we are talking about there is birthing centers around there.
I have looked at hospital policy just the whole atmosphere is what worries me.
My bf will be my advocate I already told him what I would like for us. And he would never let anything bad happen to me.
i'm a ftm, so not much experience in this department, but i've been reading up on natural childbirth in hospitals. from what i've gathered so far, hospital policies vary greatly so make sure you're aware of the ones your hospital has in place. they also suggest having a doula or someone with you who is willing to advocate and fight for your birth plan while you're busy laboring, should a nurse or doctor suggest something different. you might have to make certain compromises... like the saline plug... but that still gives you the freedom to have a quiet, non-medicated, peaceful birth. if you had such a horrible experience with your first born, i hope you are atleast changing hospitals! keep us updated. it's really crazy how different everyone's experiences are.
Oh I would look into more options girl! Any other birthing centers in cities close to you? Would you be able to do a home birth even with the financial reasons you said you had? Not every birthing experience is the same. This time around it could be better but who knows. I hope you find some answers!
