Friday morning I woke up with minor lower back cramps, felt very similar to I was going to start my period, every 30 min. That lasted until 5pm then stopped completely, so I thought nothing of it, then around 9 pm they started again, but this time stronger and 15 min apart. I took a shower hoping to get some relief, but they kept coming, so at 3am I couldn't take it anymore and my boyfriend drove me to the birthing center. I was only 2 cm dilated so they kept me for a while to see if I'd make any progress to be admitted, but 2 hours later I was still only 2 cm, so I was sent home at 5 am. I tried to rest but wasn't able to sleep through the contractions. At 11am Saturday morning when I couldn't take much more my boyfriend suggested we go for a walk to hopefully speed the process along. As I was waiting for him to put on my shoes I bounced on my medicine ball for a few minutes and when I stood up my water broke. It was the most exciting moment of my life! Went straight to the hospital and was 5cm dilated. Got my epidural at 1:30 pm and started pushing at 6pm. My love was born at 6:43pm on 6/6/2015. 7lbs 3 oz and 22 in. I'm so in love. I never imagined I could ever love anyone so much. Good luck mama's! It's all worth it! Xx
