Mady is 6 and 1/2 months.
We just go home from the doctor she is 18lbs6 oz and 27 in long. She is doing well they said.
Tooth number one decided to come in on Friday night, wow what a night that was, no sleep. She hasnt been sleeping like she used to, so hopefully we will be back on schedule soon. The dc said I have to start putting her down awake, we are ready to try again, she just screams forever.
Mady loves any and every food we have givin her especially those puffs. She is working on feeding herself with those. Ihaven't had the nerve to try anything else feeding herself yikes can you say mess. She is playing with spoons though thought we would let her start to try and use one with nothing on it.
Mady can crawl backards no going forward yet, but she can really hawl going backwards. She is also sittig fully unassisted. It is soo funny to watch her fall because she wants to be on her belly.
Noah turned 7 months on the 6th!
He is doing great. Still No teeth as of yet but his gums look swollen and he is of course drooling (nothing new about that)....LOL his hair is starting to FINALLY grow over his little bald spot in the back too! and all around lol but he is still pretty sparse when it comes to hair.... Noah will get on his hands and knees and rock back and forth and will take about 2 steps and just dive foward LOL he hasnt quite got the hang of crawling yet and prefers to scoot around (mostly backwards) to get where he wants to be LOL and he is actually pretty good at it.... He is not really to much in to the pulling himself up yet altho last week he did pull him self up to a standing position all by himself! I was so excited... but he hasnt really done it since.... he will sit up just fine all by himself if I put him in a sitting position but doesnt really go from a crawling or tummy position and sit up all by himself - he has done it a time or two but thats about it.....Any babies able to sit up all by themselves? (from laying or tummy/ Crawling position) ....
We are doing good on food, no new food really except for Oranges, which he loves! Oh and some ceral (at least thats what I think it is) LOL (grandma bought for him) comes in a jar and has like apples and Cinnamon, Oatmeal, and Bananas in it, he loves it!
Ovaz! Noah makes the same face! Its too cute! Its normally when he is going to start fussing becuase he is mad about something!
Leighton- 7 months, 2 weeks
We are having issues with Leighton at night for past 2 nights. She absolutely does not want to sleep. She cries and cries, one of us goes in, and she is fine. John's uncle has been staying with us for the past 2 nights, so I am hoping it's just that he is noisy :) Anyway, she ended up sleeping with us last night for the first time since she was about 3-4 months old. Let's just say I am a LITTLE cranky today :/ I was kicked in the back and ribs the ENTIRE night! She must have so great dreams!
As for food, still makes these terrible faces when I feed her green beans. I don't know what it is, but she hates them! haha...
I have been giving her Cheerios and she can't get enough of them. I was a little nervous at first, but she chews them with her back gums. It is funny how they stick to her damp fingers and she plucks them off with her lips. Too cute :)
She still prefers to move backwards over her 3 crawls forward, which puts her in some interesting predicaments. Such as getting her legs stuck under the couch. She usually will play there for a bit, and then let's out this big ticked off scream :)
Oh, she makes this pout face where she scrunches her nose and puffs out her bottom lip and huffs and puffs! We finally caught it on tape. We think it is pretty funny! If I was only technologically savy I would put it online!
Mark is turned 7 months old on the ninth.
He is not at all interested in pureed baby food anymore, and I am not allowed to feed him. If I try he will shut his mouth and shake his head. So I have had to start giving him small pieces of food to feed himself, which is hard as he makes a big mess. I have tried giving him a spoon so he could feed himself that way, but he is more interested in using his fingers....
Mark has been crawling everywhere for a few weeks now. I can't leave a room without him following me. Yesterday I was in the shower when I had a visitor come and want to see who was behind the curtain. He also has been pulling up for a while and now he tries to climb everything. It is so funny as he doesn't have the strength so he grunts a lot as he pulls! He is attempting to climb the stairs as well.
I am so sad that Mark is so close to being 1. What is up with that? Wasn't he just born?
I love hearing about everyone's food choices - it is inspiring! Never thought of frozen peaches...i feel so boring with just jarred baby foods, oatmeal and rice. We tried prunes this week- and let me tell you - they cause quite the stink bomb.
Hayden still only has one tooth and is crawling a few steps on her knees or army crawling like a wounded soldier. She is battling a cold right now and there is nothing worse than watching your little one in such discomfort. I am constantly on booger patrol with the bulb.
I am most proud of her "swimming" - she gets in the tub without any baby tub and rolls back and forth. We keep the water level low - and she kicks up a storm. She also crawls in the tub to get her duckies. She is a water baby for sure!
I also just bought her a snow suit - i have to post a picture, it is hilarious!!
