Quinny Buzz vs. Bugaboo Cameleon

I am going to purchase a stroller this weekend and wanted to know what you ladies thought about the Quinny vs. the Bugaboo Cameleon. I know that both are incredibly expensive, but I had to replace my son's stroller 3 times in 3 years because I kept buying crappy stollers (I ended up spending $300 total). So, I decided to just splurge so that I can keep this one through the rest of my children. The thing I like most about the Bugaboo is that the canvas fabric is changeable so if it ever gets ruined I can simply purchase new fabric.

Anyway any thoughts would be appreciated.

I just got back from REI where I bought the BOB (20% off right now) - they said you can return it anytime for any reason for a full refund! They keep a copy of your receipt - so if in 3 yrs I want my money back - I can get it (though I wouldn't do that if I legitimately used my Bob) - but thought that was very cool.

Hi , I was going to get the Quinny at first but I check the weight max and it was not high I can't remember ? I know people buy the umbrella strollers after but I thought for that amount of money it should hold the child until I need it . I ended up buying the Silver Cross stroller which looks exactly the same as the bugaboo but about 200 dollars cheaper ? I hoope this helps .

Both strollers have great resale values. I decided to go with a McLaren snap and go (car seat snaps into a frame to make it a stroller) in the beginning and today I am going to buy the BOB Revolution ($389 - but REI is having a great sale on them for $310 right now). In talking to people - they say that is a great combo for a city person. I will also get a cheap umbrella stroller just to keep in the car. Everyone loves the Bob and reviews are favorable.

I have friends with both the Quinny and Bugaboo - personally, I can't see spending that much, and the Bob is deal from what I hear.

I got the Graco Quatro Tour. It has large wheels which i need for in the summer at the cottage, and i found it wasn't too heavy for me, the Quinny i looked at (not the buzz) was just to heavy and bulky for us and the bugaboo is just to expensive

I've put a deposit down on the quinny, it had everything we felt important, its interchangeable between cot, car seat and two stages of toddler pushchair, the car seat (maxicosi) is one of, if not THE safest, on the market,it was light, folds down compactly and easy to manouver, the handles were comfortable, the onl down side was the package deal only had the four colours:red, yellow, blue or black. Quinny has other colours but not for the whole of the travel system range.

From all the research I have done (and that is has been quite extensive considering it is a $900 stroller) the Bugaboo Cameleon gets the absolute best ratings... I will be interested to read consumer reports- I wonder if they reviewed a different model or something

Thanks for the comments

I am an avid "Consumer Reports" person who uses the "expert opinions" like they are the bible :)  With that being said, the Bugaboo was rated extremely poor overall and was ranked incredibly low for safety.  So, personally... I wouldn't purchase the Bugaboo, but that's just me.  As for the Quinny... I have never heard of it and I don't know anything about it.

You can check out Consumer Reports ratings for strollers for free for 1 month.  I did all of my research during that one month and then cancelled my subscription before the one month was up.  That way, you won't waste your money buying a stroller that won't last.  Good luck!!!

Ok...So I voted other. I don't know about those...they look kinda weird! haha I guess the internet pics wouldn't show them as well as seeing them in person I am sure. I just got a travel system by Graco. I got one of the most expensive ones they offered, the Quattro Tour Deluxe, not because I really cared but because it was a color choice for me. I have had friends who have used them and say they like them because there is lots of storage space underneath and cup holders, etc. I didn't really notice that on the ones you listed...but like I said I haven't seen it in person.

I say get what you want! If you think the Cameleon is worth it then I would vote for that one...
