Fact or Myth? With each baby labor gets easier. :)

I'm just curious to know if anyone has any opinions on this. This is my second baby and I'm just looking for insight.
With my first he was born a month early and I had no pain medication what-so-ever (due to blood results not being back in time). And it wasn't that bad, the whole time I was thinking 'I could do this again' :). All the doctors I've talked to say that the second baby is harder on your body than the first, and after the second everything is much easier.

Anyone have any stories/opinions?

I'm sticking with the everybody is different, every pregnancy is different.  My Dr. did tell me that the second is easier because "the path is already paved" lol.  but I was just talking to my Mom, who had five and she said that the last was the toughest.

I am going with... yes.  Granted, this is my first, but I am taking into consideration my own mother.  With me (the oldest) she was in labor for 26 hours.  With my brother (middle child) she was in labor for 13 hours.  With my sister (the youngest)... well, she the majority of the laboring was done in the car on the way to the hospital.  So, pretty much, my mom was wheeled in, placed in a room, she pushed, and the nurse delivered.  So, everything happnened all within about an hour.

I have heard similar stories of labor taking significantly less time with each baby born.  So, if you have already had one, I would think that your body knows what to do already... remembers that, and will be much more efficient during labor!  Lucky you :)
