I'm having period like cramps and I'm having pressure in my pelvic area what does that mean and I'm 1cm 50 effaced
If you haven't yet, I would call your OB's office and speak to the after hours answering service. The OB on call will let you know whether they think you should go to the hospital/triage. I think it's better to be safe and make sure what is causing the cramping. I know that it's common to have Braxton Hicks contractions which imitates or feels like real contractions when it's not. However, I have also heard that if it comes and goes it might actually be contractions. I am not a medical expert by any means, so I would encourage you to call your OB as soon as possible.
