pain level high

My pain level is very high and im use to horrible  cramps when I got my periods so my doc told me im 1cm dilated so i know i had to have contractions but I  just thought it was growing  pains I will be 35 weeks tomorrow i think this little guy is ready to come out

Is this ur first? ...  Labour is about 10x more painful than a period pain I used to have very strong pain killers due to heavy painful periods but with my first child I can tell you now the pain was way worse dialated to 3 cm with no pain at all got all the way to 9cm with no pain relief and then had to have an emergency c section due to placenta eruption but the whole of my proper labour was really painful I can't even describe it properly

He is definitely getting ready but you can stay at 1cm for a few weeks
