Gestational diabetes

Sooo apparently I failed my 3 hour fasting test for gestational diabetes. However I have been checking my blood sugar for the past couple days twice a day and my sugar has not been high at all. Pretty good actually. I eat the right things and exercise and I hardly touch things that's really high in sugar. I wonder if this is just a glitch ? They want me to take this class and buy this glucometer and test strips thats over 100 dollars but I honestly dnt think I need them. Hmmm is there anyone else who has gestational diabetes and would like to share their story with me ??

Sorry for the typos. My phone stinks with auto correct or the lack thereof.

I barely failed my test....and I do have it...I have to watch cRbs specially in the morning. They ha e me testing my blood sugar 4 times a day. First thing in the am, then 2 hours after eating breakfast,  lunch, and dinner. Insurance should cover the equipment.  2 times a day isn't really going to give you a clear enough picture. Do that for a couple weeks and then discuss it with your dr. Mine won't let me back of the testing even though I have proven to be able to control with my own eating habits. The diet the dietician put me on made my numbers higher. My baby is a little on the small side and my fluid is in normal range at 35 weeks. I did see how my once in a blue moon splurge or late night apple with peanut butter affects my sugar levels though.
