Argh!!! Did i ask for your advice/opinion? NO!

I'm 19 weeks pregnant with my first baby and i dont know if it's the short fuse but i am SICK TO DEATH of everyone forcing their advice and opinions down my throat on how to care for my child!! I am not stupid, i worked as a nursery nurse for a year so have some idea but isn't that part of parenting, working together and figuring it out? All people are doing is making me feel incapable of looking after my baby and i've had enough :( has anyone else had this problem and found a polite way to tell people to keep their advice to themselves unless it's asked for?!

I am sorry to hear that.  With my first I was in my country, the UK,  being in America and having my second child,  they will be 18 years apart,  doctors if I see any would tell me I am high risk and it's not that I have any problems it's my age I tell them more women are healthier and having children older than some of the younger ones that have children. Most of the time I get up and leave or I let them know I am a Health Advisor who helps people get pregnant naturally so don't try to sell me or scare me into any test or taking any drugs.  That's why I personally like dealing with midwives.  My frustration has been with conventional medicine so I keep away.  Some times there is no nice way to say it because people may take it wrong.

God that must be even more annoying for you then, I'd flip. people only seem to want to tell me the bad sides to pregnancy, birth and raising children too I've noticed! I'm under no illusion that it's gonna hurt but do you really think I want you telling me how painful it can be? No lol my mum has been one of the worst for it so I mentioned how much people at work were giving advice and I was sick of it, she said "oh no you don't want it do you" No! That includes you lol take the hint

I got that so often witn my first and still do! If the don't shut up when I just smile or I know them I tend to just tell them now 'thanks but We already have plans for raising her'

What's super annoying is I have 16 years in he childcare field specializing in infants to 4 year old and people Still assume i want/need  advice

With my first many ppl made comments,  just grinned and nodded they all meant well. It was mostly older folks offering advice. Am pregnant with my 2nd now 24 weeks, no one has said anything lol.
