mandy.... i will let kiki completely explain it, but i believe it has something to do with early labor or something. i know in MY situation, i am going for my 4th c-section... the doctor refused to take her any earlier than 39 weeks... which means i may end up going into labor before the scheduled date. and since i am almost 2 hours from the hospital i plan to deliver at... that bites.  oh btw they are looking at 2 DAYS before my due date... or even 1 DAY due to my calculations. i dont know, but i am not gonna be happy if i end up having this baby in a differant hospital just because i go into labor a little earlier... something i have never had happen, but then again i have never had BH before either, and i think i have had several so far (i am 28 wks now).... anyhow i will be soooo thrilled when i get down to the 3-4 week countdown...lol

now back to topic... i havent started my bag mainly because i dont take very many things... deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, cell phone/charger, basics like that.... but i will wear the same clothes home as i wear there (as i will only be wearing them a few hours the morning of the surgery)and then i will need a small bag for baby with a outfit and blanket...plus the carseat.

the hospital supplies so much that i just dont see a big need to take everything but the kitchen sink....but that is me. i do not have a whole lot of money to spend on my own bag and i am hoping to take several diapers home with me(gonna try to get them to refill bassinet w/diapers and such the night before i am discharged....lol) anyhow that is my plan... probably sounds bad but oh well....lol

Kiki can you tell me again why you are delivering at 36 wks?  I'm sure you have explained but I've forgotten and wondered why it is under the usual weeks they deliver at.

I have a breast pump and pads and the rest I am going to pack mon, tue, or wed. My mom is coming up to help me pack my hospital bag. I am due within 11-8 weeks lol I am also at high risk for preacclapsia(sp) and preterm labour but I am not a high risk pregnancy. But I am glad that I am not the only one that hasn't packed yet.

Avent bottles are suppose to be good to prevent nipple confusion. i will be using a pump from the health dept... hopefully it is a good electric pump. have no idea what brand so i hope it will have storage bottles or whatever with it or that they will let me get it BEFORE baby is due so that i can get the storage containers... i will be going back in for surgery 6 wks after baby is born, so i will have to have some milk stored... i dont want to feed formula if i dont HAVE to. anyhow for those of you who dont know... i got my crib and bedding put together and there are a few pics on my profile of it... i love it and the total thing only cost me less that 110..... that is crib AND bedding...lol

mommy2b- thats a good idea, i registered for some of those bags,im going to look at them and delete them the reviews are bad. the other thing is the consumer report baby book. i have it so i'll take a look at see what bottles they recommend and post it later. if there is any other product let me know and i;ll look it up in the book and post it.

I agree with all of you ladies!!  I am feeling so lazy also... I haven't even finished sewing all of my little guys crib stuff yet... I did buy some pads like hkenny, but haven't put anything in the bag...

As for the breastfeeding... you know what I have been doing with all my purchase/registry decisions is looking online at the customer reviews and ratings and looking for products w/ lots of good reviews.

I also registered for and am going to purchase Medela pump and bottles, but I will say that all brands of the little plastic bag things to store the milk in have bad reviews... they say the burst too easily, so I am opting for the little cup looking storage containers that have screw on lids... I forget what brand they are, but BabiesRUs, Target and Wal-Mart all have customer reviews on their websites for almost every product, so you can at least know what brands you want even if you purchase in the store instead of online.

I havent packed yet either, i did go buy some pads for after the baby is born which will go in the bag. I do have a few outfits picked out but nothing is in the bag. I am to lazy and think its to early! i dont want to jinx myself!
I plan to breastfeed and pump and i bought a few medela bottles, the breast pump i bought was medela so i figured that made sense.

I haven't started packing yet.  I have an idea of what I'm going to pack, but need to go and buy some stuff.  I still need to pick out Reece's outfit to come home in and to get his picture made (which may be the same outfit, if he doesn't mess it up).  I go back to the doctor March 23 and I'll be 31 weeks and I'll see if anything is going on down there and probably start rounding things up then.  With Reece being big, I'm afraid he's going to come early, so I want to be prepared.

Well, I have my little bag and I bought my fuzzy slippers, but that's about the only thing I have.  I keep telling my husband that we need to do it, but I'm like tarrah, I've just been lazy.  All I want to do is sleep. :-)
