16 weeks and counting

I am 16 weeks - seems kind of hard to explain, but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced these symptoms.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have been having very mild stomach pains. It feel more like I have pulled a muscle than cramping. I did some online research and it seemed this pretty normal - uterus expanding, etc. However, last night I felt the same sort of pain, however it lasted a bit longer.

This morning when I got up, I felt a bit odd - my stomach seems to have dropped lower then it had been previously.
There is no bleeding or discomfort or any thing else out of the ordinary.

I don't know if this is mostly in my head or if there is something going on. I did contact the Dr. spoke to the nurse and explained my issues. She wasn't concerned - she stated since there was no bleeding or sever pain it is possible the baby has repositioned or other non-pregnancy related causes.

I am a little over emotional about the whole thing - as I have had 2 miscarriages before both very early on.

I was just curious if anyone else has experienced these types of symptoms before - perhaps put my mind to rest a bit.
I have an ultra sound on Dec. 3rd - kind of anxious to see if I can wait that long. :)

Thanks.

It is always a relief to know you aren’t experiencing something like this alone. I am doing fine, and hope everyone else is as well.

Tomorrow we find out the sex of the baby.

Thanks for everyone’s posts!

I have been having the same pains.....DH and I tried for 3 years for this baby and I was so scared something was wrong.  They started early for me and I am now 17 weeks and I still get them so I think it is pretty normal, my ob did not think it was anything but the uterus growing.

I am 15 weeks and experiencing the same symptoms......ob says they are ligament pain as adjusting to uterus expansion.....my ob says no worry.....I have been having u/s since week 5 due to miscarriage two years ago......every little thing makes me jump and worry, but ob says things great......
try not to worry ( i know easier said than done)......you don't want to cause high blood pressure.....so relax if you can.....
I will be thiking about you and wish the best.......

About 2 wks ago the same thing happened to me.  I am 14 wks 4 days pregnant with twins and I was freaking out so my hubby took me to the er b/c I thought maybe I had an infection of some kind and it wasn't so the next day I went to the doc and got to hear the babies heart beats so I felt so much better about it.  The pain came and went too.  Last night I had the same thing but not as bad as 2 wks ago.  I didn't have any bleeding or anything and no infections.  It's just my belly stretching to make room for the babies.  I don't remember any of this the 1st time around and I had twins the 1st time too.  Good luck to you!!!  I am happy to hear that I am not the only one experiencing these weird symptoms too.

I had those same stomach pains a few days ago. they were so severe that i was crying so hard. and all my Dr told me was that it could be a bladder infection or flu symptoms. and then about a half hour later they slowed down and then i just started throwing up. and then after that they came back but more severe. The doctor told me it would be fine as long as i didnt start bleeding or anything. I was so afraid. im 17 weeks today. i just heard the heart beat last week and it was amazing. I go on Dec. 22 to find out the sex. This is my first baby. and i gotta tell ya im so nervous. from day one ive been scared of something happening. cause the father of my child lost his first son. and it just haunts me. but the pains went away this morning. and i can finally eat again for the first time since Friday evening!

I get those pains - I believe they call them ligament pains - mine usually come when I move a certain way or even when I just cough or sneeze.   It is all normal and I understand your concerns!   They couldn't find my little one's heartbeat at 11 weeks and told me it was too early - and with my first we heard it by then - but we heard it at 15 weeks.

I completly understand where you are.  We miscarried last year around this time and are 16 weeks 5 days now.  And this week I felt the same symptoms.  I was freaking out.  I was yelling at my DH and was crying at everything.  Had a Dr.'s appt. scheduled for today and as soon as I saw her I started crying.  She listened for the baby and found the heartbeat.  I asked if we could do an ultrasound and she took us back.  I got to see the baby and quickly found out we are having our third boy!!!  I am not sure what is going to help me stop freaking out.  I know I need to.  It can't be healthy for the baby to feel all my stress.  I just have to remind myself that I am not bleeding and I still feel him move.  And no matter what happens it is nothing that I did or didn't do.  Good luck!
