We are suppose to be in va for 5 yrs... Then off some where new. I feel like I've done nothing! We haven't bought n e thing either all I've done is separate the clothes we do have from our first two girls! Im hoping to get things going cus I'm due a few days after the move but my dr is going to run test later to make sure I can be induced on my 38th week so my husband can be there which would be the day after mothers day! :/ id hate to do this without him!
I haven't done a thing/bought anything. Second child...
Sorry to hear you haven't liked it but hopefully, you can stay in Virginia for a long time! I couldn't help but panic a little when you said you have separated the 0-3 month clothes with an upcoming move! We haven't done *anything* - eep!
Lilbit- I'm so jealous I really want to fix up a nursery! At least the bassinet in my room or something! All I've done is separated the 0-3 months clothes n sat it in a drawer so I can pack it in a suit case so it's easy to get to when I have the baby :/
Steph_ut - We use to live in virginia before came to this **** hole (sorry i really hate it here) I'm excited to get back! It's beautiful and has a ton to do! I feel like I'm about to press play on my life again.
I did, as an afterthought, mention that the only fits one car seat (and not a rear-facing one) but I think opening with "it's stupid to keep the truck" (his first baby) wasn't the right idea... he did mention just at dinner that it would be better to sell it heading in to winter than summer so I think he's thinking about it. He's an awesome guy but I forget how sensitive and sometimes, I'm a big, lumbering oaf!
The u/s is to check growth and the placenta. The head was on the small side (15th percentile) but all measurements were <50th percentile so I'm trying not to worry about it too much - especially since my due date is from my lmp but I have long cycles. Hopefully, the placenta moves up, although my doc said since it's my second baby delivering with him, he might still let me go natural even it it doesn't since it was 1 cm away from the os. That is, if he isn't breech, but I think he's been moving quite a bit since I'm feeling thumps all over. What is it with all the breech little boys?
Msme3 - have you been to Virginia before? The parts I have seen are very pretty and a friend just moved there last spring and loves it!
RippedOnScotch - great idea! Our truck is one with a little suicide doors so there's not much room in the back but we could upgrade to a larger one since this one still has a fair amount of value...
Things are going great on my end.....just trying to wrap up some loose ends since I have less than 13 weeks left! It seems like its going by fast now! We also got a new car a couple of weeks ago, I just completed my registries, found my choice of daycare this past Friday, and the hubby and I finished the nursery. I'm hoping to take it easy these last couple of months! I get to see her on the 22nd in 4d again and am pretty excited about that :)
did you tey saying that car seats don't really fit in the truck? Well unless it is a 4door truck. sadly the newer 4door trucks had a better gas mileage then my car did. I got an SUV/crossover in july which is better and my husband is just waiting till its paid off so he can get a truck that a car seat fits into!
Good luck with whatever you both decide.
Steph-UT - I'm excited to move cus I hate living in Lubbock tx! But I'm not excited this is happening within weeks of my delivery lol I'm already freaking out I can't nest or get things together like I want. It's so overwhelming.
As for the truck ordeal maybe explaining how the truck would make the cars limited isn't practicle now with two kids. Plus gas will just continue to go up and that expense alone is a car payment. We are going trough a similar situation my husband has a eclipse that sits two in the back n tightly I might add! We are having our third so that means we will never use that car unless my husband is driving to work cus we have outgrown that car. It was nice when it was just him and I but now we have three extra people we travel with, not to forget those car seats are huge and take up more space then an average adult! Good luck..
So what is the next ultrasound for? Just a check up? I'm hoping to have one more later to make sure Emma is not breached...
Registeries are so much fun. I wish I was going to have a baby shower but since it's my third baby and no family near I'm not having one :( I did have a great shower for my first daughter I didn't have to buy anything for at least 6 months and so many family and friends were there. I flew back "home" for that! For me May is fast approaching but maybe it's cus we have so much going on with a new duty station and move. I want it to slow down a little so we can prepare.
We don't have anything nearly as exciting as a move coming! I'm not sure what I would decide faced with staying in the same place alone or moving so close to my due date!
We bought a bigger car yesterday since we'll have 2 kiddos... now, to convince daddy that the truck really isn't practical. Any advice? I'm not sure I chose the most tactful approach when I called keeping it "stupid"... We have a repeat u/s in a few weeks. Looking forward to seeing him again!
I just did my registery this afternoon... that was quiet the ordeal. 3 hrs of testing every stroller and how they fold up. It was fun though. other than that we are good. lots of movement which is good. I think the only thing is that for some reason I find I start sleeping on the left side and then wake up on my left side. its crazy! May can't get here soon enough!
I haven't been able to sleep good either it takes forever to get comfortable even with a body pillow! I've read in one of the forums on here some pregos are drinking sleepy time tea... Do you know if that's safe? I thought it wasn't. N I wish we had some help during our move but I must admit your better then me cus no way I could stand my MIL for 6 weeks lol she's very traditional, old school, and old wives tales is her science! For example she says when I cross my legs I'm squishing the babies head lol n can kill the baby! Or crossing my arms stops the blood flow to the baby again leading to her death! It's very annoying and I'm not a new mom lol and I'm aware of anatomy. I agree I'm ready to get my body back!
Wow! Big move before you give birth! Whew! I'm sure things will work out for you.
Baby is doing fine for us! I'm 27 weeks and feeling okay except for sleeping at night. I can't get comfortable and wish I could be on my back. I just found out my MIL is coming for six weeks and will be here before LO is due. I'm very happy about this and welcome the help gratefully.
All in all doing well, just ready to be skinny again! :)
