baby soft spost: the fontanelles
Just wanted to share with you guys about our baby soft spots ( fontanelles) . I knew they had 2 but the apparently have more than 2. 6 of them! The big one is the front then there is the back one and 2 side ones. All for helping skull bones move over each other during birth. Front one (anterior) closes between 18& 24 months (mostly), the back one. (Posterior)closes when baby is 2-3 months, 2 front side ones (spenoidal) in 6 months and 2 back ones (mastoid) 6- 18 months (mastoid) . Had to share guys!
