early labor?

Ftm. 40+1. I woke up this morning with period like cramps, went to pee and when i wiped the toilet paper was pink? Called L&D said it could be my cervix dilating and to make sure baby is moving today. Havent felt her move yet this morning, making sure she does sometime over the next hour or I'll go in. Still feeling cramping but nothing i can time stop and end too. Is today the day??? Eek.

I would say early.labor. wait it out and contractions will become regular. Although i didn't spot my contractions became four mins apart and longer

Hmm okay so now its night time. My spotting has gone from pink to brown to more of a reddish color. Anyone else experience this before labor? Not sure how much spotting is normal, mines been on and off all day... irregular contractions all day too.

Eek! No don't be sorry! Thank you for the details! I have totally felt that "need to poop" feeling too. Im really hoping that will be me today!! I cant wait to meet my baby girl!

I'm pretty sure you're in the early stage of labor. That's how mine started. I woke up around midnight on may 20 feeling like I had to go poop really bad. I wasn't able to go but when I wiped there was light pink stains on the tissue. That feeling like I needed to poop just wouldn't go away. It kept coming every 10 mins. I wasn't sure but I decided to start recording the time because I read that contractions can sometimes feel like the strong urge to poop. They were coming every 10 mins but they were consistent. I finally went poop at around 3am. After that the feeling like I needed to poop got stronger and the pain started to move to my lower abdomen as well. I went to the restroom again around 345 and then I lost my mucous plug. That's when I decided to go into the hospital. I got there and I was 2cm dilated. They told me that they weren't sure if I was in labor so they wanted to Monitor for an hr then check if I had dilated anymore. After that hour I did not dilate but I felt like that contractions got stronger. When I told them that they said they would monitor me for another hour and see what happens. a At time it was around 6am. Then at around 630am I felt a gush of water and thought I just peed myself not realizing that it was definitely my water bag braking. Lol sure enough it was. I delivered my son later that day at 502pm!! Sorry so long but I just had my son and I'm so happy. I pray for a speedy  delivery for. Good luck mommy!!
