Breast vs Bottle

I gave birth to my beautiful daughter April 18th, 2015 at 5 pounds even.. I have been exclusively breast feeding on demand. We went to the week check up on her for low birth weight and she weighed 4 pounds 8 ounces. The doctor said that was normal and to continue to breastfeed. She is having latching and sucking problems so she gets really frustrated after 10 minutes and eventually gives up but I keep trying to get her to feed. The doctor told me to come back 3 days after that visit for another weight check and she lost 3 more ounces! :( we have been trying so hard to feed and she has good days and bad days but the doctor told me to pump my milk and give it to her through a bottle after an hour of trying to nurse but I am terrified that she will know that if she can't do it then she will just get a bottle and give up trying the breast! I would love to continue to exclusively breastfeed but if she loses any more weight then I will have to supplement with formula and I really don't want to have to give my baby formula.

There are many bottles out there that can simulate the breast.  Although I have hopes to exclusivly breast feed, i did get some avent natural bottles. They are made to simulate breart feeding because the nipples only let out so much milk. .depending on how hard baby *****.kinda like the breast.  It's not just like " simple" bottles where the milk comes trickling out. My 1st was born at 35 weeks she weighed 5 lbs 12 Oz but ended up losing to much weight when I tried to breastfeed (due to her being premature she lacked the ability to latch properly)and I unfortunately had to supplement with formal,  which during that time I ended up losing my milk supply and had to give up breastfeeding entirely. So my recommendations. .get a good pump and look into bottles that require baby to actually suck the milk out.. i believe there is one called "breastflow" also
