paranoia after a MC

so I'm just over 5 weeks pregnant. Me and my partner are really excited. It will be his first but I already have a 2 yr old.
Anyhow, this time last year I had a miscarriage at just over 5 weeks. My 2 year old was my first ever pregnancy and all was fine so the MC really upset me. Now with this pregnancy I feel a lot of period like cramps (just not as strong) constantly, which makes me so paranoid and ive convinced myself im gonna lose this one.

Are my cramps normal? I dont remember getting them with my daughter?

I found out i was pregnant on sept 7th after having a m/c at 4 mon in march and 6 other m/c 's before that. I am definitely always looking in the toilet when i go to see if i am bleeding. I actually had a scare on fri i wasa t work and i had some heavy bleeding and clots but went to L&D triage and the scanned me and my little warrior was still inside the uterus so understand completly what your going through....Hold on be positive and enjoy every moment sickness and all.

I know how you're feeling, I've been booked in for an early reassurance scan at 7 weeks (I'm in UK too). Definitely worth trying to ask your doctor for one if you're worried.

Jemmy I'm in the UK also, I spoke to my Dr and he booked me in for the early scan. It wouldn't hurt having a chat with your Dr!

Thanks, I'm glad I'm not alone in this. I won't have my first scan until tge beginning of november, but I'm considering paying for a private scan (I'm in England).

I had a miscarriage in May this year and am now 8 weeks pregnant again. I had the same fears and I think all my senses were heightened because of my fear. Even after the ultrasound in which they found a heartbeat, I still have been fearful of miscarriage if I felt good for a day or two. I have found symptoms come and go, it is okay if you have a good day! Try not to be anxious but I know that can be easier said than done.

I think once you are past this early stage you'll feel better, I'm stressed and not had your experience!

Thank you! I'm feeling good about it. I've still got all my symptoms so a lot more relaxed now. Although I'm not enjoying feeling sick and my already big books getting bigger!!!

Hi! Congrats! I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow.  Cramps are completely normal. I have a freak out a couple days ago as I've had cramps/ spotting. I'm getting an early pregnancy scan a week tomorrow. Call your Dr if you're worried as stress won't help either of you! :)
