confusion in counting pregnancy weeks. ..
hi...how u all are counting ur weeks. I'm little confused. generally we count it from first day of last period. If I calculate in that way I will be 11 weeks now. In my first scanning baby's age was 6 weeks 0 days. If i calculate according to scanning I will be now 9 weeks 5days. which way is preferable. I'm confused in knowing when I'm actually going to complete my first trimister.also my period cycle is lengthy(35-40days

i had my second scanning and according to that im now 10+5.they said im one week behind the dates(may because of my long cycle).compared to first scannig there is two days advancement.now i dont have any confusion.thank u all...
My OB said if your scan isn't more than 6days from what you calculated bthey don't change the date. If it is, they go by your scan

You go off your scan. You longer than average cycle would be the reason your due date is different from your lmp. Scans are more accurate this early in pregnancy!
I believe you go by the baby's scanning age
