@Bunny I've only had a c-section so far. This is my second pregnancy so I can't compare it to a vaginal birth. Yes as long as there are no complications and you are awake you can have your baby on your chest afterwards. They may take him/her away for a minute to check eveything is ok but they will give your baby back as soon as possible

I'm having a scheduled c section this time and this is my 2nd pregnancy..my 1st was crazy..I was in labor 12hrs and never dilated and it was ok..just the swelling was crazy so I'm hoping this time I handle it better as far as the recovery part..good luck

Courtjenks my first was a vaginal delivery but he was 10lbs 6oz and I ended up having a stage 4 tear. He got stuck and it was a very traumatizing delivery. I wanted to have him on my chest right after he was born but since he was stuck for so long he wasn't breathing. Mamacastro will I get to have him on my chest after the c section or do they take him away? And do you know if it's more painful than a vaginal delivery, recovery wise?

My first was a c-section. You will be fine ladies. The process is fairly quick. Just make sure to move as soon as you can afterwards. It will be painful at first to walk but moving helps recovery faster. Good luck and best wishes
