No it shouldn't affect your baby. If you see a lot of blood or it doesn't stop bleeding then you should probably be concerned. I would say just try not to strain too hard. This might be tmi, but my mom has IB and when I was constipated she said the doctor told her if you have clean hands you can actually soften it if you're constipated through your hooha. I know it's gross, but sometimes any relief when you're constipated is welcome :) Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy!

I also am very constipated and am 9 weeks tomorrow been taking colace BC its safe n drinking prune juice but when I do go to bathroom its black probably from being inside so long the blood is most likely from straining ask ur Dr for something when u go or call sooner and drink prune juice I've gotten a lil relief with that but still very hard going good luck

You might have a hemorrhoid... they're pretty common when you're pregnant from straining. Try adding a little prune juice when you drink juice or ask your doctor for something you can take over the counter if you want to go that route. Mine sent me a brochure saying I can take: colace, milk of magnesia, fibercon, citrucel, metamucil, maalox, konsyl, miralax, lactulose, dulcolax suppositories or fleets enema.
