Induction

Doctor said we can induce at 39 weeks if we want.
This is my second child, the first went 10 days over then came on her own.
What are the plusses and minuses of inducing?

I got induced 1 week early (39 weeks) by choice.  Labor took 6 hours. No issues and our baby boy is two years old  now. My first came on her own, on her due date. I am high risk now so I have no other choice but to be induced.  But... even if we did have a choice,  I would choose to be induced again. Its your choice,  your baby. You what ever you want to do as long as Dr is okay with it. :-)

Same as her ^^ I was induced with both babies and it was good. First born was 29 hours and 2nd born 6 hours. Hoping my 3rd is less than that!

I was induced with my first baby at 39 weeks because my body wasn't dilating at all. It took two days, but she finally graced us with her presence! My pain was minimal up until about 5 hours before she was born so I opted for a epidural. I'd definitely get induced again if needed, but fully hope my body will do what it's supposed to this time and dilate on its own! I'm due in 8 weeks so time will tell.

Your baby will come when he/she is ready and unless of complications shouldn't be rushed . It's best to be patient and let the baby decide when their ready

Being induce ***** ! I was induced with my daughter at 35 weeks because of some complications but it wasn't pleasant at all . I personally wouldn't be induced again. I would just let nature take its course
