test name

what is the test called where they check for spinebifida, down syndrome and other stuff? What all does the test check for?

It is the AFP (alpha-feta protein).  They check it around 16-20 weeks I believe, but I declined this test because they are known for alot of false positives.  It checks for DS, and neural tube defects.
