UPDATE on "CHICKEN POX"

Ok ladies.. I am sure you are sick of hearing about my chicken pox dilemnia as much as I am about writing it. But I went over my doctors head and got a second opinion from a High Risk Maternity ward at my local hosiptal (my doctor is P*SSED.. she hung up on me!!) I don't really care becuase I had to do what was right for me. I just came back and they told me basically that all these doctors I have been seeing are crazy and they should be ashamed for making me so scared. They said I just am a type of person that has this in my blood but it does not mean I am infected. The baby is PERFECT!! and growing great. They also told me its a .... GIRL!! I knew it!! They said the baby is fine and there is no more need to worry or have an amino. Honestly I am going to look into getting another doctor. These past few weeks have been so stressful and over nothing. Thank you ladies for all your concern and your prayers. I really appreciate it!!! I can know fully concentrate on enjoying my preg.

That is awesome!  The power of prayer is the best!  I totally agree that you should get a new doctor.  This is a very intimate time in your life and you need someone who will make you feel comfortable not scared out of your mind.  I think God would agree that you should get a new doctor since the other suggested  termination.

oh that is wonderful!!  I am so happy for you that this whole drama is over!  It is horrible that your doctor treated you like that.  What did she want you to do, continue to be sick or just go ahead and terminate with out getting a second opinion?  that is rediculous.  a good doctor would have told you to get a second opinion!  Either way, I am happy for you!

oh sweety congrats!!!. i knew in my heart that everything was just right. coming from a medical profession i knew something was funny. i'm glad every thing turned out ok oh and congrats on ur girl!! i my self had a cvs done and also have a little girl so i know how u feel :)

oh i'm just sooo glad everything is fine with the baby and Congrats on your lil girl. I have one DD and have some strong feeling i'm going to have a girl this time around as well, we will know by 26 May ;-)

that's great news!!!! I'm glad you got this second opinion and find another doctor, not because she was wrong but because the way she reacted... I'm mean it's unacceptable!

OMG! I'd totally look for a new doctor. I knew all of this sounded weird and had a feeling baby would be fine!

I had to tell my doctor because the Hospital needed a referral letter from my doctor in order to see me. OMG.. was she mad! I mean I understand that I got a second opinion and kind of went around her but honestly ladies... I think any woman that is being told that they should terminate their pregnancy because their baby is going to be born mentally retarded would get a second opinion. I actually really like my doctor and was very surprised and hurt by her reaction. I am hoping that I can talk to her about this. God is really great!

Wow, I'm glad that you've finally gotten some good news!

Your doc actually hung up on you?? Yea...I would look into another doc, that's crazy and very unprofessional. I would have gone for a second opinion as well and it's great that you did. congrats!
