Low Heart Rate

tej
I am 8 weeks pregnant. When I went for my first u/s they could only find a sac so they took my hcg levels and had me go to a hospital for another u/s. My hcg levels were 20,000 and two days later 24,000. They had a very hard time finding the little one and when they did he/she only was measuring 5 1/2 weeks (at that point I was 7 weeks 1 day) and the heart rate was only 70. The Dr. said this was low, but that it could shoot up in a weeks time. They suggested another u/s a week later. Does anyone have any experience with this? The waiting is horrible!

I  do have experience....just recently went though it.  Friday 2-13 I started spotting and went for u/s and the doc said the hb was 77.  She said to call if I started spotting or bleeding again.  Monday morning there was so much bleeding (tmi sorry) and I went for another u/s the hb was 75.  The doc said it would go either way.  I've been measuring 6 weeks for almost 2 weeks now.  The doc is not concerned about that right now.  I went Wednesday for another u/s and they couldn't find a heart beat till they zoomed in really far.  Once that happened they got a heart beat and it measured 98.  Keep your head up.  They say that when the baby's heart starts beating it beats around the mother's hb and goes up approximately 3.3 beats a day.  It's really a 50 50.  It's really low but mine were too...keep me posted and I'm praying and pulling for you.  I go back Wednesday for another check up.  Good luck!
