WARNING MAY BE TMI!!!

This is my first pregnancy so I dont know whats normal and whats not so im sorry if I ask a lot of questions...
Anywho, I mentioned in another question about how I dry heave a lot in the morning when I brush my teeth. It happened this morning again, but this time I threw up some yellow-ish fluid (and it tasted awful!!!) And it was a bunch of it! This happened once before but I thought it was possibly something I had eaten the night before because it was only a small amount. This time it was much more. I looked it up on the internet and it says its bile/stomach acid! This kinda freaks me out! Is that normal??? And will it harm the baby at all??? It tastes so bad and the taste is still in my throat three hours later and it making me sick! I have eaten toast, drank water, and even tried a piece of candy but the taste remains! How can I keep this from happening??? I've only vomited twice since I found out and both times have been in the mornings while brushing my teeth and it was bile both times, no food! Any tips or advice??? Please help... its discusting!!!***

I've had the same thing happen before I was pregnant. I was really sick from surgery and pain killers (long story) and every morning I would throw up bile. Its not harmful except for, like joy said, it can rot your enamel. One thing I may have mentioned before is you can brush with a child size tooth brush and just brush with water. Then you can rinse with a mouth wash that tastes ok. I've been doing this and there isn't any more gagging for me. I got this tip from my sister in law who is a dental hygenist. She says that your teeth/mouth will be just as clean.
One thing I've done to help out with the morning ickies is when I get up in the middle of the night to pee, I have a small snack like a granola bar or something. I haven't woken up sick for about a week now. I do end up feeling icky by bed time though.
HTH!!

Yes, that is bile. Baby is protected and secure deep in your womb. It will not affect them. Don't forget to gargle mouthwash because the stomach acid can wear out the enamel on your teeth.
