What are some things you ladies are doing to get your children involved with your pregnancy?

How are they responding?

Do you have any worries/fears?

I have Gavin talk to the baby and we talk about how we are going to take care him.  He is only 2 and doesn't really know what he is in for.

My son is 20 months.  We basically tell him there is a baby in my belly.  He will point and say baby and points out every baby we see, even if they are older than him.  If he hears a cry he will say "its a baby".  I know he truely has no clue!!  I am TERRIFIED!  Basically since we started telling people 3 weeks or so ago I have been fending off all of the comments of things we should do with AJ to prep for baby.  i disagree with ALL of them.  Like potty train him (he will be 26 months at the time of birth).  I think it is too young to push it and can see him just having accidents on purpose once he sees baby in diapers.  And putting him in a big boy bed...I think it is too early and I dont want to have the fight of getting one to stay in bed while teaching a 3 month old to sleep in a crib.  i just think it is too much at one time and dont want AJ to feel like the baby is causing these changes.  lastly, pre school.  Everyone wants me to send himto pre school as soon as the baby is born.  i dontw ant him to feel likehe is being shipped off for the baby to stay home with me.  Just very upsetting!

my sis has a 2 1/2 yr old lil girl and is due in aug with anther lil girl. abby is very advanced started walking at 8 mos, knew her colors at 12, and knew her shapes at 15 mos, and could have a normal converstation at around 15 weeks. so she knows exactly whats going on. my sis just asks abby if she is going to help out with the baby, just basically talking about the baby a lot to her. abby always asks is that baby ready to come out your tummy yet? its so cute. abby has already said she is giving one of her night nights to the baby and kisses and hugs my sisters stomach all the time. she seems really excited. my sis just talks about ella (baby) all the time!
