fill in those stars with "american pregnancy"
ok...nevermind!! What is up with that!!
http://www.*****************.org/pregnancyhealth/foodstoavoid.html
look at this website, it gives a list of foods to avoid during pregnancy. Including canned tuna, which is what I ate.
I know you shouldn't eat raw fish period because you could get a bacterial infection.
cooked tuna also contains mercury.
lol, you can eat cooked tuna. You can't eat raw tuna. Either way you want to limit any food that could have mercury in it.
you can google it... see what the masses say!!
you can eat tuna... but not a lot. I heard of a lady who ate tuna all the time, her son came out deaf because of the high mercury level in tuna. So, while it's okay to eat it sometimes, it's not a good idea to eat it all the time. I just avoid it all together. Although yesterday I ate some without thinking since it was in a casserole... and then I was like oh cr*p!!
KK about the tuna....is it ok to eat or not really? Just not a lot or what? Cuz I WANT SOME!! LOL I was thinking about it this morning actually...maybe about making some tuna melts for lunch!! THen you guys mention tuna!
LOL, that's funny! So you're craving garlic and ice cream huh? just don't mix the two together, that wouldn't be too good. ;)
I'm with your husband though, the smell of garlic would turn me off incredibly! I really hate garlic... pregnant or not! ha ha!
Tasha505 - Yeah, I'm really going to miss my spicy tuna rolls! When I had DS I had my brother in law and his gf pick me up a few spicy tuna rolls, it was SO good, and a nice treat to get while in the hospital!
Haha, maybe we shouldn't be talking about food, we might either make someone throw up or start craving stuff....Yeah KFC is starting to sound pretty good again too.
I always take the prenatal vitamins at night with supper, I just can't handle them in the morning!
Heatherm4 - Mmmmm, garlic, that sounds so good!
LOL....it's funny how it can start so early. Last week I totally understood the icecream thing. I was thinking to myself how great it would be to have one at the moment. Something else that will become my favorite is this garlic and butter couscous.....mmm it tasted and smelled sooo GOOD! DH was asking me what stinks...LOL he didn't like the smell at all!!
me too... I have to eat meat as well... well, chicken mostly. I'm not much of a meat eater. But I love SUSHI, I hate that I can't eat while I'm pregnant... unless I eat only cooked rolls but those get old pretty fast! KFC sounds pretty darn good though!! LOL
Mornings have been tough for me too... ugh, I feel pretty bad right now! I started taking my prenatal vitamins later in the day... it's helped a little. Still feel sick though. :-(
Spicy food is always good. I haven't been able to eat a lot, i've been having some morning sickness issues. I've been having a hard time eating in the mornings, but banana's have been helping.
I craved KFC, and I usually HATE it. Chicken in general is something I could eat all day. I also have been craving Diet Pepsi, the hard part for me is I haven't had pepsi in YEARS before I was pregnant, I had some the week before I found out and it was so good that's all I want to drink! I'm a coke fan, I love coke, I collect coke stuff, but it just doesn't taste as good as it did before.
Also, I LOVE sushi, For Christmas I got a sushi making kit, and I was making stuff to bring for lunch, mostly just sweet potato rolls, veggies so they can last in the fridge for a few days. I took a pregnancy test because for two days in a row my sushi lunch made me SO sick.
Meat, I need meat, I need to have lots of meat :) Not sure why, but I just do.
Before got pregnant, I ate toast every morning, sometimes an English muffin... just a light breakfast with some hot tea. NOW, when I try to eat toast, I feel like I'm going to throw up. I can't eat it at all in the morning.
I never eat eggs, not since I was pregnant with my daughter who is now 1.5 years old. Now, in the morning, that's all I want, eggs with green chili!! Ha ha!!
You know usually I stop eating Chicken when I'm pregnant and I havent had an egg in about 5 years when I was pregnant with my daughter. I have noticed that I want spicy food versus sweet. Maybe its a boy again. =D
