Weekly updates (Part 2)

How is everyone feeling this week? Any new news to report? For me (especially today) I have been having contractions out the wahzoo and having been having hot flashes and an extremely irritable stomach... I have a doctor's appointment on 7/20 for my glucose test (yuck!) and an ultrasound to see how much Marley actually weighs and to check how big she is.... I think she has definitely gotten longer (growth spurt maybe?) because I can feel her little feet all the way in my ribs and she is squirming around more than giving me hard kicks (but she still gets those in too!)... Our poor little ones are running out of room!

I'm 28 weeks now and excited for this last stretch! I've actually (by miracle) found myself a midwife and see her for the first time next Tuesday! I'm very excited about it! I've been having trouble sleeping and keep catching myself laying on my back. I think I do this because at times I have hip pain and sleeping with this wedge I have isn't always that comfortable! Then because I sleep on my back...my lower back hurts! LOL What a mess! I still don't get any swelling...my left foot does at times but it did it before I was even pregnant! I'm sure all these things will catch up to me soon!
And yes....I think the next few weeks will feel like the longest out of all of them!!! Ahh the anticipation!

Is it just me or does 10 weeks seem like a lifetime? It seems to be going so slow!

I know how you feel about the waddling part, lol. The other day we were at the farmers market in my town and I was waddling real bad because of the heat and my sore back....my mom and dad thought it was hilarious and so did my grandpa.

I'm 30 weeks 3 days today and cannot wait for October 1st to come!!! I even find myself hoping my baby boy would show up a week early just so I can see him sooner than I feel guilty about wanting him to be early, lol

So far sleep is difficult, especially since I get those horrible charlie horse cramps in my calfs if I stretch my leg out or move to quick in my sleep...it *****. And the heartburn doesn't help either. Only 10 weeks to go though!!!!

I too am starting the week 30 this week (On Wednesday).  It's so hard to believe there's only 10 weeks left, although it still seems like forever!  I looked at pictures of my when I had my first and I looked like I did when I was 40 weeks with my son!  I've had a few people think I was due in a month, I wish!  I've had a lot of BH contractions, but not more than one or two an hour. There also getting to the point where they feel a lot like real contractions.  I've got a wedding on Sat, so we've got a few activities for the weekend to keep busy then we've got one or two weekends to rest (and/or get ready for the baby) then I think we've got just about every weekend busy until I'm due.  I'm looking foreword to all the stuff to help keep me busy and make the time to continue to fly by!

Tiffiepooh - My only suggestion is try to get as much sleep as you can, even if it's a small cat nap.  Also take it easy when doing things, sit down if you need to.  I find if I sit more often it helps a little bit with energy.

Hey ladies. I'm on week 30 this week! It seems like time is going so slowly. I went to the dr. twice last week. Once for a regular check-up. Everything was fine. Then the next day because I had a bloody discharge. Everything was fine, it was from sex. So the dr. told us no sex for 2 weeks. I have also been having a lot of BH contractions. At least 4 or more an hour. The nurse said I need more rest and water. My hands and feet are swollen and I feel like a whale. I've gained 32 pds.(all in my belly). I don't know if I can wait 10 more weeks. But the dr. said I probably won't make it full term because of the gestational diabetes. So in a way that makes me happy. The sooner the better. I'm so tired all the time. I get another ultarsound in 3 weeks to see Jett and see about how big he is. I think he will be a big baby and that's fine with me. We want a football player! lol. Good luck ladies!!!

I'm doing well... 30 weeks, and counting!! These last couple months can not go fast enough though, I'm definitely ready to have this behind me. I'm uncomfortable when it comes to sleeping... and just all day basically. My baby is kicking like crazy at night... uh-oh, night baby! I'm so excited to meet my son, I'm getting very anxious to know what he's gonna look like and act like. How different will he be form my daughter?! So exciting.
My belly is getting huge, and I feel huge... I waddle around like a duck and feel like I have to pee all the time! Fun fun fun!! Luckily it's only this uncomfortable in the last part of it!
I am counting down the weeks!!

Well I will be officially 30 weeks Tuesday and only have 10 left till I meet my little girl. In the next three weeks so much  is going to start and I dont know if I can keep up with it all. I start my Lamaze class the 10th, school the 16th, and work the 25th. Also my baby shower is the 14th and I have prenatal visits that are going to go to every week in like 6 more weeks. This is all getting a little crazy. Plus in Sep. I will have another shower with my church. I feel like this all is flying by so fast and so much is starting all at one time. Any one got any advice to help to keep up my energy and be safe trying to do all this?

I thought I'd join in now as I'm officially in the 3rd trimester! :)  I am so happy to be at this point!

I found out I passed my glucose test so that is good.  I was worried about that for some reason..I didn't have it with my son but I just seem to be waiting for something to go wrong!!

I did, however, hurt my back the other day as I twisted it wrong when I was putting my son into his carseat :(  I have been in bad shape since and even had to take off work Friday....dh has been on house/child duty and it's driving me a bit crazy...lol....I hope to be better soon!!!

The Expectant Father and The First Year Father by Armin A. Brott are both really good books for fathers. I have both of them and I even get a little amused reading them. Plus they are directed towards the more "father thinking" aspect. Another interesting book is YOU: Having a Baby by Michael F Roizen, it has a lot of really interesting facts about pregnancy and explains the whole labor process and pre labor and all that jazz.

I'll be 27 weeks tomorrow and DH and I just watched "The Business of Being Born" yesterday...LOL he has NO idea what is gonna go on! That movie helped a bit...I'm glad, he had a lot of questions too. I'm not sure how to teach him all this stuff. We were going to do prenatal classes but they are out of town and I don't feel like going there for the next 3 Thursdays! I need to find another way to teach him this stuff. I tell him as much as I can but I'm not sure how much he really understands. I wish there was a good book for men! Any suggestions?
I've been having pretty harsh lower back pain....it's so much worse when I'm standing for a long time at work! Not fun. A little bit of BH.
We are all pretty much in the 3rd Trimester...I can't believe how time is flying!

I noticed yesterday for the first time that my fingers were swollen. I decided to go ahead and take my rings off. So naturally today I forgot to put them back on. I was trying to determine whether or not my feet were swollen but I couldnt tell.

alaysha - I know what you mean, I've been telling DH he needs to get DS's old toddlerbed back into the crib position, that was 3 or 4 months ago!  I'd do it myself but someone would need to watch our son while the other did it.  Were running out of weekends get any of this stuff done!

Well 'm 27 wks today and so exicted and tired. LOL  Everyday this week I have to get in the bed for an hour at least to relax. Then I can get up and get things done. Which doesnt help with my daughter's sleep schedule. Tonight I plan on McDonalds for dinner and having my daughter in the bed with me by 8. Fingers crossed that it works. I have an appt next Thursday the 22nd and I'll have a tallk with the dr regarding having a VBAC or whether I'll have to have another C-section. I would love to pull the baby out myself but if its a c-section I'm ok with that too. At least it will be scheduled. My little Peri is moving and moving all around and it sometimes is painful and the BH are bad. :(

I have an appointment next week as well and am hoping to get another ultrasound. I finally got furniture and put it in Navy's room and all I have to do is get the mural up behind her bed and wait for my baby shower so I can see what else I need to buy. DH sister told him that we can have her old car seat (this hideous gray thing) and Nathan is all for saving the money and I'm not... we'll see how successful I am talking him out of it. I've also been having bad BH contractions. I almost thought I sent myself into preterm labor yesterday from manhandling the furniture, they were so bad and consistent. DH said he would do it but I'm impatient and I wanted everything in its place right away. I can't believe we are reaching the end ladies! It seems like this pregnancy has gone by in turbo time. I know it sounds horrible but I am SO ready to have a mixed drink when she gets out!

Well I am doing good. I am 28 weeks and I passed my glucose test so hopefully no more blood work for me. I am going nuts trying to figure out weather I have a little elbow or knee sticking out at my ribs. Its not painful unless Naomi starts to move a lot. I am waiting for my next Ob appointment next Wednesday and hoping that we will get another ultrasound like the Ob promised to make sure Naomi is a girl. I start my Lamaze classes the August 10th and have them for 5 weeks and when they finish then I have my breast feeding class. My mom and I have started planning my baby shower and have it scheduled for the 14th of August. I cant wait to have my shower and celebrate my little girl coming into the world!

I'm hanging in there, I'm 28 weeks today and I too have the glucose test at my next apt on the 21st.  I also need the Rogham(sp) shot too that I'm not looking foreword to.  DH and I have both been sick lately and we think our 2 year old son has been having nightmares and is refusing to sleep, that's not helping DH and I feel better!  Other than that the hot flashes have gotten much worse for me now, the air on my car is dead and sometimes I'm so warm even by the time I get to work.  Yeah so between my son not sleeping and the baby kicking like crazy it's kinda hard to get much quality sleep.

I wish I'd have another ultrasound, I would LOVE to see my little girl again!  My midwife doesn't do anymore unless there's a need.
