Thank you I been nervous to try too much but now im starting to feel a little better about everything and just be watchful. They gave me a monitor so I pray things look good from now on.
About a month ago at a prenatal my urinalysis showed some glucose, so my midwife wanted me to treat it like I had GD. I got a glucometer and have been testing my levels after eating to see what I can handle and what I can't. That was just a freak that day, thankfully, but I have learned that I need to be careful with fruit and foods with regular sugar. Things like bread and potatoes don't seem to affect me. If you're able to get a glucometer I highly recommend testing your levels, because it gives you a clear picture of how your body responds and what foods you need to limit or cut out. Trust me, I shed many a tear that day and several days after, but now I know what my body is doing and it's really been a good experience for me. Best wishes to you!
