Changing doctors at 6 months???

I live in Iowa and my husband has been offered a job in Wisconsin 4 hours away do I move with him and have to find a new doctor? Or do I stay here and move in with my parents for a few months and have my husband come back when I start showing signs of labor so that I can keep the care team I have learned to trust ?
I feel very torn and wondered what other pregnant women thought about this with an outside perspective of the situation?

I also think you have time to adjust & trust a new team of professionals elsewhere..

I also was hesitant to leave my old OB's office.. ONLY because of the doctor. she was super sweet, but I began getting uncomfortable with the office in a few different ways. the closer I got to delivery, the more & more I knew I couldn't stay there.. little did I know how unprofessional her workers (at least one) actually were, and I actually had to threaten the office manager with a lawyer for trying to hold my medical records.

I said all that to say this: go with YOUR gut!! my fiancé & I both had a feeling I needed to switch doctors, and I have an appointment with our new OB this friday, and I'll be 25 weeks! I'm so excited.. I pray you're able to make a decision soon & be happy with it! good luck! (((:

There is always a chance you could go to the hospital in labor and not get the dr you intended because they weren't on call. This is a very special time for you and your husband to share, I personally think you have enough time to re-establish care at the new location. When you look back on this period will be looking to see your husband and going through the whole process with you punctuated with pictures and stories or the great medical staff?  I have no idea if your relationship is not as good as it could be so the thought of staying behind is beyond medical care. However,  if they are good then take on the new adventure as one team.
Good luck!!!
