Need advice!!! Maternity leave

I am a first time single mom, i will be 29 weeks on thursday and honestly feel like i am dragging my feet everywhere i go and am starting to get anxious/depressed about going into work. I work in a call centre which normally you would think oh nice you get to sit for 8 hours and talk on a phone, WRONG it's not nice at all. I am costantly getting screamed at and sitting all day does sound nice until your hips lock up and it hurts to walk afterwards. I'm becoming emotionally and physically drained, I really don't think working much longer is an option but i won't have another source of income unless i take maternity leave. Does this make me a horrible mom if i were to go off at 32-34 weeks? :( of course i want to spend all the time off i can with my baby but i fear being in such a stressful environment at work is not healthy for the baby either.

It doesn't make u a bad mom but consider to stay longer at work if it's going to cut the time u spend out after the delivery. Cuz if ur a single mom u have consider ur financial situation n if u can afford to stay out without pay. Or if ur end up having to leave baby sooner.

Of course it doesn't make you a bad mom! I'm a ftm too, and I work as a server in a fast paced bar. I'm on my feet all day, no actual set up breaks, and lots of times don't even get time to eat throughout a shift. You know what's best for your body better than anyone and if you're concerned for you and baby's health/comfort you should do what you feel is right. I will be going on my leave at 32 weeks. Some have said oh that's fairly early but realistically being 8 months pregnant waddling around regular drunks and stupid wing days doesn't exactly sound pleasant to me. Not to mention your first is always the hardest on you and takes it out of you the most. I think there is absolutely nothing wrong going on leave when you feel it's right. Keep your head up momma,it's good that you're looking out for your little one. (: stay strong!
