Suicide thoughts....

I have 19 days left until i meet my little one and during my whole pregnancy i have dealt with depression and never seeked help. As i get closer to my due date i feel more and more depressed where suicide thoughts have filled up my head. Ive been mistreated my whole pregnancy and dont want anything to happen to my little one because of my selfish thoughts. HELP!

At the beging of my pregnancy i was depressed had horrible suiccide thoughts and lack of appetite
I talked to my doctor and she helped me find someone else to talk to
My pregnancy has had ups and downs the past 37 weeks but gotten better the more I talk I
Pregnancy is hard and the hormone changes can be overwhehalming but that won't make you a bad mom
Infact the more you talk and ask for help the better mom you can be. I'm still considered high risk because of the depression and I know I'm more at risk for babyblues or post partum depression
But I truly believe as long as I keep talking and being honest about what I'm feeling and going threw
Both my daughter and I will be alright
I will keep you in my prayers and send good thought
But strongly suggest to talk to someone

Just so you know, in America, the law for us as clinicians only requires us to take action with authorities if you were to report it as something you were GOING to do. Someone reporting that they feel suicidal but who doesn't report intent to carry it out is covered by hipaa. Please talk to your doctor to get counseling referrals.

Talk to your doctor. Explain what you have been/going through. I am sure they will understand. My docotr was smart enough to understand the stress i was going through when my inlaws started staying with us sincey 27th week. So m sure they would understand you. Talk to them freely. The fact that you are aware of your thoughts and concerned about the baby, already proves that you are stable amd strong. Good luck!!

They won't think that.  A ton of women go through it.  I guarantee you are not the only one.

Talk to your ob about it because it won't get any easier after pregnancy. Our hormones are all crazy right now as it is and we are all going through something. Everyone is different and have different situations but coming on here asking for help is a good start.  Your baby is a miracle and remember that you created that miracle. I'll be praying for you.  Best of luck in the days to come.
