Everything the above commenter said. 1/3 of babies born in the US have cord wrapping. It's something doctors are very used to handling and is typically taken care of during the birthing process or is a non issue. Ita ve ey slippery and the baby does not breathe through its lungs until out of the womb. My little boy has the cord on and off his head the past few ultrasounds. ( I get lots due to leep ) Your doctor will monitor it when its closer to birthtime.
Do not be concerned I asked my doctor about this she said all babies will get the chord wrapped around their neck at some point. Remember they don't breathe yet they get oxygen from the placenta. She said it works itself out and the chord has a thick jelly coating so it eventually slides right off.
