First time mom!

Hi! I was very surprise when I got a positive on the pregnancy test because me and the father only have been together for over 2 months. But everything's fine. The father is happy and so do I. I'm on my 6th week and I'm getting the regular symtoms, but this week I've been feeling kinda blue and sad. Is it normal to be depress in the first couple of weeks?

Congratulations girl on ur 1st baby. Yes sometimes it's normal to be feeling blue. This is my fourth baby an sometimes I found it helps me alot to get out go somewhere. Sometimes it's just taking a walk or going to the park. I found that foe MN e it helped to change the situation that was getting me down on to a more positive situation. I hope this helps. An congratulations again

Congratulations! And welcome to the site! It can be a huge transition being pregnant, especially when the relationship is new. But it doesn't mean you won't be happy, just takes time, the unexpectedness and the sudden changes your body is going through. I've felt low at times throughout pregnancy, it's apart of the package for me, if you start feeling lower than usual I'd suggest going to the doctors, or midwives, as you don't want to feel low for a long period of time. Talking helps, a friend, the dad, a parent, us :) But seriously a huge well done to you xx
