I say once your out of first trimester and out of the risky area to buy certain things that you don't need to know the sex of the baby. For me I'm due October 19 and I would buy like bottles, and soothers, something that doesn't have to be a specific gender and something that's not going to cost much in the event something happens. Likelihood of that is slim but with small things it's a bit easier to let go. This is my second pregnancy and with my first I waited closer to the end. This time I will once I'm good. So far the baby is tight where he/she needs to be its just the little extra hump to get over
With my 1st I was due Nov but started buying around September. Be careful on what you buy Cuz u may discover your baby reacts to that brand of say pampers or wipes. Mine had a sensitive butt so I had to buy pampers only. She was pron to rashes so the pampers sensitive worked well and I even did cloth diapers for awhile until her rash cleared up. My baby shower was in September. She got a lot of clothes and bath stuff. But you can't go wrong with stocking up on sleepers just be mindful of the season and they grow fast.
I would wait until 20 weeks. Buy few things, specially if you are having a babyshower. Buy not more than what you need. Babies grow so much the first three months.
My due date is October 13th. Doctor couldn't here the heartbeat.I'm 10weeks, but doesn't look like that. I didn't have ultrasound just doppler since my hospital doesn't cover ultrasound without health insurance. Any advice? My next appointment would be in 3 weeks.
