Frustrated to the MAX.

So my fiancé has work at 3am and every time he leaves he wakes me and baby up!!!! Every single time!! Its frustrating because I have a very hard time sleeping because Im up hoping he's safe out there, my insomnia is really bad, and then baby will kick and kick and kick so its super hard to get both of us comfortable and back to sleep. Any suggestions?? Im so tired of waking up at 3am and staying up till 6 or 7am. Im cranky!!  And he wont stop kicking!!

Maybe some ear plugs?  Try a fan in your room for white noise.  Try not to move much or act on initially waking up.  good luck

Oh, and don't get up and talk to him or anything.  Stay in bed with the lights off so you don't get 't00' awake

OOOHHHH, you are talking about a baby that isn't born yet?

Well, I'm a light sleeper as well.  My husband wakes up for work before me.  What is your husband doing to wake you up?  Perhaps you can A. have him keep the lights off, go the bathroom to get ready and/or get dressed in another room.  You stay in bed and shut your eyes and go back to sleep.  Or B, sleep in another room yourself when pregnant.  I had a lot of insomnia when pregnant in general and went to different places to sleep.  Had a couch that I loved on the first floor.  :>)

So, is he actively waking you or you wake up just with him getting up?  If he is actively waking you (shaking you, talking to you, etc.) as him not to.  If you just wake up, then don't blame him as he has to work, right?

Do you work?  Are you able to go back to sleep at 6 and sleep for a while?

I've read that babies move and kick most when you're not active, that walking rocks the baby which makes them fall asleep. sometimes I get up really early in the morning to use the restroom and once I'm back in a comfy position my son kicks like CRAZY I usually rock myself back and forth and he usually stops! Or id try warm glass of milk nothing too cold!

Well why don't u tell him to be a little more considerate? I mean I'm not saying he does it on purpose and idk if you're a light sleeper but try to get him into the habit of leaving everything ready before he goes to bed so he don't wake u

Try drinking a cup of warm milk. My fiancé gets up at 4am and does the same thing. He always turns on every light and asks me a million questions then leaves and I'm left laying in bed miserable

well relaxing your self helps pretty much everything during pregnancy but first and For most a warm cup of milk with honey is proven to release a hormone in your body that that generate sleep.iam 23 weeks pregnant and dealing with the same issue except that I have to wake up every morning to take my 5 year old to school and after that I can't seem to go back to sleep so I ask my ob for pills and she highly recommended the warm milk with honey so far so good just make it a habit!try it and best of look!
