Immunizations for baby

Did anyone DS/DD get the Hepatitis vacination while in the hospital and are you getting your child immunized or will you wait until the baby is a few months older, i was just wondering if babies are breast feed dont they obtain mothers immunity?  so why do the babies have to get shots so early, i really dont want DD to get shots until she is almost 6 months, i just cant imagine dealing with her getting fevers and getting sick and being so little from the shots.  I was just wondering what is everyone else doing about immunizations

I got the hepatitis b for Brandon. He is going back in a month for the rest of the shots. I also was giving DTAP and the flu shot at the hospital to protect me from getting sick.

I also let them give Owen his shot... Cuz I too work in health care and don't want anything creaping up on him.  And I will be getting all of his vaccinations done on time or there abouts, cuz I can't see him getting the measles or mumps or anything else goofy, not to mention the fact that he didn't have any advers reactions to the first shot that he got, but we will defintally see how things go from here.

I let them give it. Primarily because I work at a clinic and I don't need to bring anything creepy home to baby.
