Checking in to see how everyone is doing, and how the little ones are.

Just checking in to see how evryone is doing/recovering and how your little ones is coming along.

As far as me, i have had PPD, Anxiety and some other stressors that just had me down.  Im on zoloft and will start next week seeing a thearpist(shrink).  Other than that, i am dreading to go back to work but at the same time it will give me a little break from the baby.  I will be going back 1st week of November.  I am glad to say that my body is feeling like itself, no aches and pains but jus in my left hip here and there

I am thinking about going strictly to formula,  the LC told me i should pump 3-4 times a day to store milk, no matter what times i pic, its hard to pump or i get interrupted bcuz she wakes up and wants to be feed, or i have to eat or try and sleep, im just finding it hard to pump to store and nurse and do everything else i need to do, and one of my part time jobs i will not be able to pump there.

Lil Ms Trinity is coming along well, she is 3 weeks old today and last friday @ her dr appt she weighed 9 1/2 lbs.  At 1 week old she was able to lift up her big ole head and hold it up for like 5 seconds, the dr was amazed. Now she can hold it up for like 15 seconds b4 getting her balance again, when i bottle feed her, she will take her hands and put them on the bottle, she is something else.  Does any1 baby cry when getting a bath, bcuz she jus sits there like this feels nice.  She is consuming 2-4 oz of breast milk and formula, the first few days she slept long after getting the formula, now she wakes after 2 hours when i give her the formula.

I hope everyone else is doing ok

Man oh man everyone's babies are changing so much it's crazy and sad at the same time... I almost miss the first few days when Owen was so small and sooo dependant. Any who, I have been doing great, the past two weeks on Thursday night DH and I were able to go out with our friends (my mom watched Owen while we went out, tho we only would go out for a few hours, but it's nice to get away).  Not to mention DH's mom will watch him once and a while so we can have a nice night in and we are able to sleep peacefully through the night.  Tho I'm not sure how peacefully I sleep cuz I'm so use to his schedual now, but I'm sure it will get better as time goes on.  For a while I thought that I was having PPD, but I think I was just stressed about my gall bladder attacks that I have been having, and having to have it removed, but since I talked to my doctor about it, he took all of my worries and since then I have been fine.  Tho I am sick with a cold which s|_|cks.  Any who... I just am so happy that I have Owen and that we have a family, more than our two dogs and cat.

Owen is growing like crazy, I'm pretty sure that he's got my father's geans cuz he's really long (21 inches as of 10/1) but not so chubby yet (8lbs 7oz).  Since he was home, he has been doing amazing at holding his head up, attempting to hold his bottle, and grabing fingers.  When he first came home I felt like he was only up when he was hungry, but now he's up alot more, probably for about an hour each morning (unless he's fussy then he can be up longer) and about 2 hours at night put together.  It's amazing how much he's changed in the past 3 almost 4 weeks.  He had his first bath this past Monday and he screamed through the whole thing, however, we didn't have the tub very full and I think we didn't have the water hot enough cuz we were scared we would burn him, but the last two we gave him, he seemed to really enjoy, cept when we are done and we have to get out, he get's cold which makes him fussy.  But that's fine cuz he sleeps better when he fusses through his whole bath.  As for sleeping, he's pretty regular with eating 3-4oz every 3 hours day and night.  Oh my doc gave me the "okay" to start giving him the enfamil restfull night at night, so tonight will be our first attempt.  I guess it give the baby a full belly like they'd get if u were to put rice cereal in their bottle and it stays in their belly for a longer period of time.  So we are trying that tonight.

Sorry this is sooo long, and I'm pretty sure that I cold go on forever... but we are both adapting to one an other and our changing lives.  I'm so excited for him to sit up, crawl, walk and talk...

Oh man I had to speed read to get through all your posts! Bella is doing great, however... she's figured out that if she crys we pick her up so now she has to be held ALL the time! I picked up an awesome sling called the sleepy wrap it's like one of those hippy-ish ones that is a big long strip of fabric that wraps around you all crazy. It's funny, but the best thing ever. She gets into it and I can do almost anything hands free and she is content. So aside from a spoiled baby were doing good. If I put her on her tummy she will sleep about 3 hours then up for an hour and another 6 hours of sleep every night. Don't worry you'll all be there soon!

She's 8 weeks this saturday and growing like crazy. We got our first little giggle yesterday and it was the sweetest thing I've ever heard. Baths are hit or miss, but she loves taking a shower with me. I found that out after she puked all over both of us one night and I just jumped in the shower with her.

Latrice like you I'm still dealing with PPD, but taking zoloft and starting to feel better. Glad to hear everyone is doing well I miss you all!

Hey Ladies!!

MaKayla and I are doing well. She made six weeks on Thursday and is getting bigger and bigger each day!! She is such a peaceful little doll until around 10pm! LOL She only wants the breast and she ***** sooooo hard!! At her last appointment she weighed 7lbs 2oz. She goes back on 10/22 and has to get two shots! I am dreading that. She is still only wearing newborn sized clothing and believe it or not, with all the clothes in her closet, she only got a few newborn outfits so we are doing repeats too Amberlee....against my DH's wishes, I have bought her a few outfits and a few pairs of shoes (that are still too big!!) ....I love her so much and am dreading returning to work....she likes the bath, but hates for anything to go over her head!

Doing well here, felt like myself about 5 days pp. Even did the deed few nights ago, I felt fine and dh said he could feel the stitches still. (sorry if tmi)

As for Bryce, now that he is finally on a formula that he likes and works with him he is doing good. Has on and off fussy days, mainly when he is constipated. He has been staying awake a lot longer during the days. He has found his voice and knows how to get our attention. He does make all kinds of weird noises while he sleeps as well, I'm glad it's not just him! He has been getting a really bad attitude lately too!! If we stop to burp him during feedings, he will throw his head back, arch his back and straighten his legs and yell, not cry, but just yell loud. He has been sleeping 3 to 5 hours at night and eating 2 to 4 ounces, depends on how tired he is. He is finally starting to fit his newborn clothes, he's been wearing the same few outfits over and over because nothing fit. He's getting so much bigger. He weighes 6lbs 6oz last Monday and will be 4 weeks this Tuesday. (sorry so long, I'm sure like the rest of you, I can talk about him for hours)

Sam is doing really well, eating and growing.  He does new things every day and it is hard to keep up.  One minute I think I have him figured out and then he will go and change overnight.  Most nights he sleeps 3-4 hrs/time but once every few days (like last night) he will fuss when time for bed, meaning neither DH or I get to sleep until 1AM.

Oops--he is squawking now!  No more computer time for Mommy...

I am glad you asked. Brandon is doing OK I guess. Being fussy here and there whenever he can't pass a stool. He is only pooping 3 times per day which the PE thinks is normal. He is eating 2-3 oz of breastmilk and 2 1/5 of formula. He is feed every two hours on breastmilk and every 3 on formula at night. He is sleeping for like 3 hours at night. He loves taking a bath....and is very alert. he does make weird noises while he sleeps which kind of scares me at times b/c I think he is shocking or something and he is just strecthing..LOL. He is a fisty little one.......

I'm doing good, I go back to work Tuesday, which will be at exactly 5 wks postpartum. I thought I was dealing with PPD, but I started getting out of the house more and I stopped crying all the time. I still have anxiety bad..we were walking across a bridge on our walk a couple of days ago and I noticed how large the openings in the side were and was freaking out because they were big enough that he could fall through.. I don't know how normal that thought is but ok....

Mickey has been doing fantastic...he doesn't cry during his bath at all, but pitches a fit as soon as he's out and until I get him wrapped up very well and snuggle him for a couple of min. He eats 4oz at a time now, and holds his head up for as much as 3 min at a time. When he was born he was already holding it up for 15 seconds at a time, and has quickly progressed. He loves tummy time and his shoulders and neck just keep getting stronger! He's starting to make dif noises at me..he used to just grunt now he coos occasionally. He sleeps for 5 hrs at his first lay-down at night, and I am sooo excited about that!!

Don't worry about switching to formula if that's what you have to do... I've been formula feeding. At first I tried breastfeeding but it was sooo stressful for me and Mickey, and I was so much happier after I switched to formula. At first I felt guilty about not breastfeeding, but I realized how much happier we both kinda seemed to be at feeding time, and I just told myself that sometimes you have to do what works out best...As long as he's getting nutrition and growing healthy, that's all that matters!!
